Are we the only ones who can't believe that people still do this??

More than 3,000 drivers died in 2017 because of distracted driving, so the Saginaw Police Department is cracking down on drivers who are texting while driving.

Starting on April 11th through April 15th, police will be on the lookout for drivers who appear to be texting. First-time offenders will face tickets of up to $100, with repeat offenders seeing tickets towards $200.

If this comes off as sanctimonious, so be it - we, as a family, have made a conscious effort to put our phones where we can't get to them when we're driving. We don't want to be tempted to use it when it could cost us and/or somebody else their lives. Nothing we have to do on our phones is worth that.
