The Judicial Tenure Commission says Jackson County Circuit Court Judge Thomas Wilson abused alcohol for years, sometimes during working hours, raising concerns about his ability to fairly preside over cases.

Allegations Against Judge Wilson

In court documents filed with the Commission, witnesses say Wilson would sometimes appear in court smelling of alcohol, prompting concerns from colleagues and attorneys about his conduct on the bench.

Jackson County Judge Faces Multiple Allegations

Additional allegations against Wilson include sexual harassment of colleagues, with claims that he made inappropriate comments to women in the workplace. The official complaint (published by WDIV-TV) also alleges Wilson failed to disclose financial ties with attorneys and interfered in court cases involving his own family members.

According to the TV station, Judge Wilson has 14 days to respond to the complaint and could face disciplinary action or removal from the bench.
