** UPDATE **

Joel Feick has indeed joined WEYI-TV as lead anchor of "NBC-25 Today" which airs from 5-7 am weekdays.

Feick spoke with Cars 108's Rod & Erin immediately after his first day at NBC-25, and you can hear the complete interview here. Now, let's get to work on getting Bill Harris back on the air full-time!

Longtime TV news anchor Joel Feick has been off the air since earlier this year when he was released from ABC-12. But speculation is growing that the former WJRT reporter and weekend anchor is returning to local TV news, landing at WEYI, NBC-25.

The Clio-based NBC affiliate is running a rather cryptic promotional advertisement, which features a silhouette. It alludes to a local news legend and indicates October 3rd as the day we'll see a payoff.

Feick's Facebook page indicates that he has recently changed his website to "Connect-Mid-Michigan.com", which is operated by WEYI.

Feick, Bill Harris and others were released from WJRT in April when new owners SJL Broadcasting purchased the ABC affiliate from the Walt Disney Company.
