It feels like Michiganders have been inundated and overwhelmed with product recalls. Does your head feel like it will explode if you hear about another recall? From vehicles, food and medicines that have been recalled by manufacturers, the FDA or both it's hard to keep everything straight.

We have shared details on several product recalls for everything from Great Value baked foods, coffee creamer, apple juice, eggs and more. But it's stunning to see how many vehicles are under recall from Michigan's Big Three and other automakers.

Recently more than 130,000 vehicles produced by Kia, 60,000 vehicles from Volkswagen, 376,000 electric Tesla vehicles have been recalled for various and potentially dangerous issues. Additionally Audi has recalled thousands of vehicles.

The frustration of constantly being bombarded by recall after recall can make us numb to it. The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon shared this frustration in a segment where band member Tariq Trotter was driving cars and using products, all of which have been recalled.

With the cost of everything rising consumers are also frustrated with the number of problems, issues and recalls involving so many products that they are spending their hard-earned money on.

I just bought a brand new car on January 2nd and within weeks the backup camera stopped working. I reached out to one dealership that told me the parts were on back order and never called me back. When I called them to follow up there was no record of my call.

Although my particular car is not under a recall the fact that the backup cameras for a 2025 model are on back order concerns me. Luckily another dealer was able to obtain a new camera and I'm taking Slimer (yes, I named my car) to get fixed.
