Thank goodness that this story has a happy ending. I can't imagine how many stories like this do not end in such a positive way.

An American bulldog was brought into a Sonoma, California veterinary office for a c-section to deliver her puppies. When one of the puppies came out with a cleft palate (or a "hair lip"), the breeder told the vet to euthanize her because she was not "show quality."

So the vet contacted the local humane society, who sprung into action. They took her in, and named her "Princess Fiona." They put a port in her neck so that it's easier for her to eat until she's three months old, when she can have surgery to correct her lip.

The humane society is regularly posting videos HERE, if you'd like to keep up with this sweet little girl. She'll be adopted in a heartbeat!
