Whirlpool Corporation stepping up and donating new appliances for discounted sale to help flood victims.

With many flood victims in Midland County and mid-Michigan still struggling, the Whirlpool Corporation has decided to step in and help. Whirlpool has donated appliances that will be sold at discounted prices to those devastated by the floods in May.

All the proceeds from the discounted sales will also be donated to the United Way of Midland County. The sale will take place for two days in August. On Saturday, August 1st from 9 am until 5 pm and Sunday, August 2nd from 9 am until 3 pm. This sale will take place in the former Younkers department store in the Midland Mall, which is located at 6800 Eastman Avenue.

Maytag, Amana, KitchenAid, and Whirlpool brands will be up for sale and the entire selection will be offered up to 50% off the manufacturer's suggested retail price. Those in need of ovens, ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers, and washers and dryers will be able to shop and pick from 400 different items at the sale. Several small appliances will also be available.

Payments for the appliances can be made with cash or credit card only, no checks will be accepted. Detergent and other cleaning supplies will also be provided with every purchase, while supplies last. Organizers are also looking for volunteers to help load appliances into vehicles and delivery within 15 miles is available for a $100 additional charge. For those planning on attending the sale, masks or face coverings will be required and social distancing will be encouraged.
