Walmart has issued a list of five food items that are currently under recall at its stores. It should be noted that some food items may be available from other Michigan retailers and throughout the US.

Walmart operates more than 4,700 stores throughout the United States. As of December 2024, there are 94 Walmart stores and 93 Sam's Club locations in Michigan.

What Food Products Are Being Recalled?

Food recalls have been front and center lately out of an abundance of caution for consumer safety.

The list includes popular pantry items like pancake and waffle mix as well as broccoli florets and baby teething sticks that have been discontinued due to a choking hazard. We've included the full list below.

A statement on the company's website reads:  "Walmart and Sam’s Club are committed to the health and safety of our customers and members and to providing products that are safe and compliant, all supported by our health and wellness, product safety, and food safety professionals."

The statement goes on to say that Walmart and Sam's Club locations work to block the items from being sold once recalls are issued.

Additional Product Recalls

Meijer stores in Michigan and five other states recently recalled 10 items (food and non-food products) that pose some level of consumer risk.

We also have additional information on recent recalls for ground beef, button cell batteries, and cold and flu medicine.

Roughly 63,000 Jeep owners will be receiving a recall notice later this month due to a potentially life-threatening defect.
