Cold & Flu Medicine Sold at Michigan Stores Recalled

Heads up as we are in the middle of cold and flu season, a cold and flu medicine sold at some Michigan stores has been recalled.

I hadn't seen anything about this particular recall until just now when I received an email from Costco. According to the email, I had purchased the medicine between October 30, 2024, and November 30, 2024.

The recall is for Kirkland Signature Severe Cold & Flu Plus Congestion.

The email that I received said that the medicine is being voluntarily recalled "out of an abundance of caution" because it was sent to stores even though a specific lot code had been rejected because it was possible that it contained foreign material contamination.

The lot code in question is P140082 and can be found next to the expiration date on the box.

If you also have this medicine in your cabinet and you find that it has that lot code, Costco says that you shouldn't use any of the remaining pills that you have, and instead return it to Costco for a refund.
