- Once they convert to Zoom Tan, the salons will receive new spray-tan equipment.
- On 2/15/22 the salons will convert to the Zoom Tan point of sale software and customers will need to have their driver's license and cell phone numbers on file to use their memberships and packages.
Tropi Tan was founded by Vince Lorraine in 1979. At the time Lorraine was just a college student with big dreams.
“I had never heard of indoor tanning and happened to see a salon with people lined up to get in! I thought if they could sell sunshine in California, I could definitely do it in Michigan", Lorraine said in an interview with IST Magazine in 2019.
Lorraine is also the Editor in Chief of My City Magazine, and Fenton Township Supervisor, two things that he is passionate about.
There are currently 10 Tropi Tan locations in the state, with 8 switching over to the new Zoom Tan name. According to an employee at the Grand Blanc locations, the Grand Rapids and Lapper locations will continue on with the Tropi Tan name.
According to their website, Zoom Tan was founded in Naples, Florida in 2008. Currently Zoom Tan has tanning salons throughout Florida and New York, and now Michigan. Read the full notice below.
