Schools Close Across the Area As Snow Continues to Fall
As winter weather sweeps across Flint and the surrounding area, a number of Mid-Michigan schools have already opted to make changes to their Friday (2/5) schedules.

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 4 am for the following counties in and around our listening area:
- Bay, MI
- Genesee, MI
- Huron, MI
- Lapeer, MI
- Lenawee, MI
- Livingston, MI
- Macomb, MI
- Midland, MI
- Monroe, MI
- Oakland, MI
- Saginaw, MI
- Sanilac, MI
- Shiawassee, MI
- St. Clair, MI
- Tuscola, MI
- Washtenaw, MI
- Wayne, MI
Parts of Northern Lower Michigan are under a Winter Weather Advisory until 7 am Friday, while much of West Michigan will remain under a Winter Weather Advisory until 7 pm Friday.
Soon after this storm subsides, arctic air is expected to move into Michigan, sending much of our state into the deep freeze toward the beginning of next week. High temperatures will struggle to reach the teens during the day and could dip a few degrees below zero at night.
