Police Stepping Up Patrols For New Year’s Drunk Drivers

Michigan State Police and local police and sheriff's departments will be out in force to try to make the New Year a safe one for everyone on our roads. A D.U.I. (Driving Under the Influence) ticket will inconvenience you in a big way. For starters, a night in jail with the area's most upstanding citizens as your roomies. Hefty fines and attorney's fees which will cost you thousands. Possible loss of driving privileges.
That's assuming you get pulled over before you get someone hurt or killed.
If you plan on celebrating the New Year with alcohol, get a designated driver. Call a cab. Party someplace where you can spend the night instead of driving home. Be smart before you get stupid. Have a great time, just don't drink and drive. A happy new year is one where we are all around to celebrate it!
