The guy doesn't even HAVE a snake, people.

A Grand Blanc man is biting his tongue...er, his text messages (is that even a thing?) after a visit from the police.

The entire misunderstanding originated from a Craigslist ad. Somebody texted the man in response to an ad about kittens; his response was, "No, I don't sell the kittens, I feed them to my python. One kitten feeds him for like a week and I get like 10 kittens a month for free this way."

Of course, the screenshot of this text went viral.

The text prompted a quick response from Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson, who received a ton of calls about a man possibly feeding kittens to his snake.

The sheriff and other officers showed up at the man's house last Friday around 4:30 PM and, according to Swanson, his first words were, "I f***** up! I f***** up!"

After an investigation, it was found that the man didn't even own a snake.

Swanson recorded a video with the man, apologizing for what he did. The Sheriff wanted to prevent anybody else from imposing "vigilante justice" on the man.

The man said that he was sick of getting phone calls and texts all day and night about his kitten who was up for adoption and that the text was meant as a joke.

He also changed his phone number and social media accounts.

As for the kitten that the man was trying to adopt out, Oscar is now 7-weeks-old and headed to Genesee County Animal Control to be adopted out.
