New Traffic Signals and Timing on Hill Road in Grand Blanc Township
We've been reporting traffic signal upgrades along Hill Road in Grand Blanc Township throughout the year.
While lulls in the work are necessary as equipment arrives, etc. There are visual signs progress is being made.

Hill Road Traffic Signal Upgrades
New signal poles, crosswalk signals and traffic signals have been installed at Fenton and Hill Roads. Now, crews are working eastward.
Work is currently happening near the intersection of Hill Rd and Grand Pointe Blvd near Applebee's and Speedway.
Looking closely, you notice signals will no longer hang immediately over the intersection.
While some signals are not being replaced, timing will be improved along the entire roadway.

- Hill & Fenton Roads (completed)
- Hill Road at the SB I-475 Intersection
- Hill Road at the NB I-475 Intersection
- Hill Road at Grand Pointe Blvd
- Hill Road at Westknoll Drive.
- Hill Road at Porter Road (Halo Burger on the corner/Galaxy Lanes behind it)
- Hill Road at Dort Hwy
- Hill Road at Saginaw Road
Possible lane closures along Hill Road
Expect single lane closures. Workers will be in bucket trucks, as you can see above, stringing wires, etc.
The road construction project list in Genesee County was aggressive this year (and necessary). It looks like weather will cooperate over the next few weeks to wrap up projects on time.
