The list has changed a little since 2023. Although Wayne County is listed above, Detroit is not on the list of Michigan's poorest cities this year. Another city off the list this year is Ecorse, Michigan.
Other than that, the list is pretty much the same, with a little restructuring. Last year, Highland Park took the number one spot for the poorest Michigan city. This year Highland Park comes in at number three.
To determine the poorest Michigan cities 2024 Road Snacks used what is referred to as Saturday Night Science. To keep current, the site updates its information with annual Census results, FBI stats, and government data.
Median household income, poverty rate, and number of people in poverty were all a part of the above findings.
