The Flint Firebirds host several annual events for charity throughout the hockey season. One of the most popular promotions is 'Puck for Paws Night', a fundraiser to benefit the Humane Society of Genesee County.

On this special night, fans are able to bring dogs to the game. Please note that is one dog per attendee. Here are additional guidelines regarding 'Puck for Paws' night.

  • Dogs must be 6 months of age or older
  • Dog owners must bring up-to-date dog license paperwork that includes rabies vaccine information. Dog tags will not be accepted as proof.
  • An outdoor dog relief area will be located outside behind section 14 of the arena.
  • All dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet (no retractable leashes allowed).
  • No aggressive dogs, Dort Financial Center has the right to refuse any dog entry.
  • Dogs and owners will be seated in sections 16, 17, 18, or 19 only.
  • Season ticket holders with dogs must sit in the designated dog areas.

As mentioned above, this is a fundraiser for the Genesee County Humane Society. If you wish to bring your four-legged best friend, you must bring a donation of dog or puppy food, cat or kitten food, dog and cat toys, and cleaning products, or make a $10 donation.

'Pucks for Paws Night' night happens on Friday, November 4th at Dort Financial Center. Your Flint Firebirds will be on home ice against the Kingston Frontenacs, the puck drops at 7:00 PM.

A big shout-out to the Flint Firebirds for continuously helping out local charities throughout the season. Go Firebirds!
