Sailing up north on I-75 toward the Mackinac Bridge is considerably less stressful than heading into Detroit. It's also less dangerous. Here are the 10 most dangerous stretches of I-75 throughout the great state of Michigan.

Michigan Auto Law crunched the numbers, based on crash report data submitted by local enforcement agencies and the Michigan State Police. The list is based on the latest data available, from 2016 through 2020.
The ranking is based on the total number of traffic accidents during that four-year period.

Problematic Counties
As you would likely predict, the 10 most problematic stretches of I-75 are all located in Oakland and Wayne Counties. The number of overall crashes declined in 2020 as fewer drivers were on the road during the pandemic. However, the number of fatal car crashes increased.
The time of day with the most crashes is between the hours of 3 and 6 pm.
