Two Young Boys Found Alone Inside Home

Farmer’s sons, then ages 3 and 4 and both with disabilities, were found without adult supervision during the early morning hours of February 18. Police were called to the home after reports of a child screaming. Officers then discovered the two boys inside the condominium.

During the preliminary examination, officers testified about the conditions inside the home, describing standing water, bugs, trash and clutter. One child was found naked in a room with feces smeared on a wall, while the other was found under a blanket on a bedroom floor and initially appeared to be unresponsive. WNEM shared video from the Flint Township Police Department of the sick conditions these kids were left in.

Police Described Deplorable Living Conditions

Investigators said Farmer initially claimed she believed someone else was caring for the children while she was out of town for a funeral. She later admitted the children had been left alone. Earlier police reporting said the boys had been left without proper supervision and care for days.
