Here Are Genesee County’s 10 Most Accident Prone Intersections
Ironically, Genesee County's most dangerous intersection is not far from a Michigan Secretary of State branch office. There's also Speedway, McDonald's, and a funeral home nearby.

The #1 spot went to the intersection of Fenton Rd. and Hill Rd. in Mundy Township, bordering on the western edge of Grand Blanc Township. This area was rated as the worst intersection - meaning the intersection most prone to car accidents in all of Genesee County.
Worst Intersections by the Numbers
The folks at Michigan Auto Law pored through the data and crunched the numbers based on Michigan State Police car accident reports for 2021, the latest data available. The data used by the Michigan State Police is provided by local law enforcement agencies throughout the state of Michigan.
One key finding from the study revealed that nearly one-third (31.3%) of fatal car crashes in Michigan occurred at intersections.
Don't Hate the Roundabouts
People love to hate roundabouts, but research shows that they have proven to be safer with fewer life-threatening accidents occurring at roundabouts than standard intersections or four-way stops. In fact, roundabouts decrease injury accidents by as much as 75% compared to standard intersections.

- The intersection of Morrish and Lennon roads is slated to become a roundabout sometime in 2023.
- A roundabout is also planned for Lapeer Rd. and Oak Rd. in Davison.
