Announcing a Popular New Business for Grand Blanc Marketplace
A lot has happened since we first reported the Grand Blanc Marketplace's first confirmed business last November.
The Marketplace is still under construction on the former property of KMart and Farmer Jack at Saginaw Road and Bella Vista in Grand Blanc.
Residents are used to seeing that property vacant. While construction has moved quickly for the Saginaw Road-facing portion of the strip mall.
Which businesses are coming to Grand Blanc Marketplace?
New businesses including Jersey Mike's and Starbucks are operating or have signage in place with more to come soon.
That includes a Five Below, the popular discount retailer, located in a portion of the old KMart.
Another retailer has just posted "coming soon" signage right next door.
Grand Blanc is getting a Ross Dress for Less.
This marks Genesee County's second Ross Dress for Less location.
The first is located at Courtland Center in Burton. That should open in spring of this year.
It's too early to know exactly when Ross or even Five Below will open in Grand Blanc. Construction crews have rehabilitated much of the old property and added to it.

One thing is for sure, it no longer looks anything like the old KMart from 2008 (below).
We'll keep you posted on construction and grand opening date as the project develops.
