New businesses are popping up around Burton and Flint, Michigan's east side.

We first reported Michael's will be opening a third Genesee County location in Burton, just last week. Look for that store to open later this spring.

Just a bit further down Court Street is another new establishment building out their property.

A new health care option will be available for folks in the area.

New business opening in the old Matrix Physical Therapy spot.

Drivers who frequent the area at Court Street & Center Road surely know the Starbucks across from Courtland Center.

Just beyond the coffee house, in that strip mall, is a smaller strip on the same property.

It looks like the new property owners are just getting started on renovations.

They're gutting the space to the left of L.A. Insurance.

Eventually, it'll be home to a new physical therapy and balance center.

Introducing Fyzical

The info on their website says Fyzical focuses on physical therapy, balance and whole-body wellness for everything from sports injuries to orthopedic problems, neurological issues or other aches & pains.

Their future address is 3680 E Court Street, Flint, MI 48506 with business hours already posted for Monday through Saturday 9am-5pm. Closed on Sunday.

Numerous locations have franchised, and opened, all around lower Michigan.

New businesses in this area are hopefully a sign of more, positive growth to come for Burton and Flint.

Remembering the Grand Opening of AutoWorld in Flint, Michigan

A short-lived Six Flags theme park, AutoWorld was supposed to be a tourist destination in Flint. Sadly, after several starts and stops, AutoWorld was imploded in early 1997. The land is now owned by University of Michigan-Flint and is home to the William S White Building.
