Another Discovery Adds to Growing List of Human Remains Cases in Michigan
As a lifelong Michigander, I can’t remember the last time something like this kept happening over and over again across the state. Now there’s another situation that has people asking a lot of questions, this time on Detroit’s west side.

According to WDIV, the FBI spent hours Monday digging up a vacant lot near Oregon and Beechwood after what neighbors say started with a pretty disturbing discovery.

From what people in the area are saying, contractors working nearby thought they came across what looked like human remains and called police.

Next thing you know, federal agents are out there with equipment, digging, sifting through dirt by hand, even laying out items that looked like clothing near the site. If you’re someone who lives on that block, that’s going to get your attention real quick.
What Neighbors Say Was Found
One neighbor said she walked outside in the morning and the FBI was already there working, something she’s never seen in all her years living there. She also said she was told a skull may have been found, which obviously takes this to another level.

Now officially, the FBI isn’t saying much. They’re calling it “law enforcement activity” and stressing there’s no threat to the public. But beyond that, there’s really not a lot of answers right now. We don’t know what exactly was found, how long it may have been there, or what this could be connected to. And that’s what makes all of this feel even more unsettling.
Part of a Growing Trend Across Michigan
Because this all comes after human remains were found on a Mid-Michigan freeway, two bodies turned up within days of each other at the Saginaw Meijer, and even here in Genesee County, where a property owner found remains on land he had just bought.

It’s just disturbing seeing all of this happen so close together. It really makes you wonder how much is still out there that just hasn’t been discovered yet.
