
Police Investigating After Dead Body Found Near Fenton Water Tower
Another dead body was found in Genesee County yesterday in Fenton Township. This is the third discovery of a dead body or human remains in the county that we’ve reported on since mid-March. This latest discovery happened near the corner of Fenton and Thompson Roads.
Genesee County Deputies Respond to Fenton Township Water Tower
According to tctimes.com, it all started when someone called Genesee County 911 to report a suspicious vehicle.

Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson said that after the call came in at 3:38 PM on Tuesday, May 12, deputies were dispatched to the water tower area.
Investigation Continues in Fenton Township
When deputies arrived, they found a deceased 44-year-old man. The man was identified as a Fenton resident, but his identity has not been released. The investigation remains ongoing.

Third Dead Body Discovery Reported in Genesee County in 2026
Just under two weeks ago, we reported on a dead body discovered by two fishermen in a pond near Beecher High School. In March, the owner of newly purchased property in Thetford Township found human remains while surveying the land. That case has since been linked to an incident dating back to 2017.

This latest discovery comes after a string of bodies and human remains have been found across Michigan in recent months. While many residents have raised concerns online, officials say none of the cases, except for the Thetford Township discovery, appear to be connected.
