Flint Travelers Can Soon Fly Nonstop To Two Florida Cities

If you're already thinking about escaping the next Michigan winter, Allegiant just gave Flint travelers two more awesome options.

The airline is adding two new year-round nonstop routes from Bishop International Airport to Florida, giving Mid-Michigan travelers direct flights to Orlando and Fort Myers.

New Florida Flights from Flint Starting Soon

ABC 12 is reporting that service to Orlando International Airport will begin February 10, 2027, while flights to Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers will start February 11, 2027. And Allegiant isn't stopping there.

The airline is also increasing the number of flights on two existing routes from Flint. Additional service to Sarasota Bradenton International Airport will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Mondays beginning February 10. Flights to St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport will run on Thursdays, Sundays and Tuesdays beginning February 11.

$69 Florida Flights Are Available... With a Catch

That gives travelers flying out of Flint Bishop even more opportunities to trade snow, ice and gray Michigan skies for some Florida sunshine. There's also a limited-time deal attached to the announcement. Allegiant is offering introductory one-way fares as low as $69 on the newly announced routes.

But there's a catch: The $69 fares are only available when purchased by September 2, 2026, and the airline says seats and eligible travel dates are limited. Tickets for all of the newly announced routes are available through Allegiant.

New Florida Routes From Flint's Bishop International Airport

So if you've been waiting for an excuse to start planning a Florida getaway, this might be it — especially if you'd rather fly out of Flint than make the drive to a larger airport.

The two new year-round nonstop routes are Flint to Orlando, beginning on February 10, 2027, and Flint to Fort Myers departing on February 11, 2027 Allegiant is also adding more service to Sarasota and St. Pete-Clearwater.

The additional routes give travelers in Flint, Genesee County and throughout Mid-Michigan more choices when planning winter vacations, spring getaways or trips to Florida.
