Imagine you’re just driving down the highway, minding your own business, and suddenly there’s a plane coming down right in front of you. That’s exactly what happened to a driver in Pennsylvania this weekend. Somehow, unbelievably, everyone walked away from it.

Dashcam Captures Plane Dropping Onto Busy Highway

According to WGAL, a small single-engine plane had engine trouble and had to make an emergency landing right on Interstate 78. Not off to the side, not in a field, right between cars on the highway.

Dashcam video shows the plane dropping in fast, getting closer and closer to traffic. The driver who caught it on camera said she realized pretty quickly that the plane was way too close and just held her breath as it came down.

Michigan Pilot Forced Into Emergency Landing

Now here’s the part that hits close to home. The pilot, a 65-year-old man from Michigan, was actually on his way to Indiana to catch a March Madness game when things went sideways. Instead of making it to an airport, he had to thread the needle and land on a busy interstate with cars all around him. And somehow he pulled it off.

No injuries. Not to the pilot, not to his passenger, not to anyone on the road. Just think about that for a second. That could have gone a completely different way.

It’s one of those moments where everything has to go exactly right, and it did. Quick thinking, steady hands, and honestly, a little bit of luck.
