2,000 Santas Ran Through Downtown Flint on Saturday

Falls under the category of "there's something you don't see every day!"

Saturday afternoon was the start of the 8th annual Flint YMCA Santa Family Run/Walk, where more than 2,000 people dress up as Santa and canvas the streets of Flint. All the proceeds benefit the Flint YMCA to help fund their local activities, such as Camp Copneconic and more.

We had a blast judging the Santa Paws contest, and AJ even ran the 5K with our mini-schnauzer Pepper. She wore her Santa hat for a few minutes and then got sick of it, but she made it the whole way!

Cookies and chocolate milk helped to fuel the athletes through the 3+ miles, where everybody was given a medal at the end.
