Frankenmuth to Host New Non-Competitive 5K Run/Walk

Later this month Frankenmuth will host a new charitable run/walk called The Christmastown 5K Fun Run.

The Christmastown 5k fun run/walk will take place on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Frankenmuth River Place Shops. Race times will vary and may be staggered based on the number of participants but is technically scheduled to start at 4:30 pm.

The route will start and end at River Place Shops, taking runners and walkers on a scenic tour of Frankenmuth including Grandpa Tiny’s Farm, Bronner’s CHRISTmas Wonderland and Jellystone Park.

Registration is only $30 and includes a Christmas-themed finisher’s medal, hot cocoa and cookies, a unique souvenir item to wear during the race and special guests including Santa Claus.

If you're thinking about participating, you're going to want to register online prior to the run/walk. Participants can pick up their registration materials the day of starting at 3 p.m. at River Place Shops near the Cass River Bar and Grill.

Of course, safety precautions will be in place for the race. All guests will be required to wear a mask to enter any enclosed spaces at the shopping complex or throughout Frankenmuth. So basically...where you're freaking mask. Social distancing will also be encouraged and hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the complex. Indoor and outdoor bathrooms will also be available for participants and guests.
