The doors are ready to open at a new downtown Flint restaurant - Table & Tap. Take a look.

Table & Tap will feature a variety of pork and chicken entrees  either dry rubbed or sauced up. Here are a few items you'll find on the menu: Ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, and bratwurst that they make in house. Everything is smoked in their smoker out back.

They spent the last five months renovating the space on the ground floor of the Wade Trim Building, across the street from the Capitol Theater. The restaurant has seating for about 50 people inside, and another 60 to 70 outside on a soon to be fenced-in patio.

Including Table and Tap, there are now 11 restaurants in downtown Flint, eight of which have opened in the last three and a half years. The goal is to not compete with those other establishments, but to complement them instead.

They are open for dinner Tuesday-Saturday.
