Doesn't take much to make a little boy's day, does it?

The Grand Blanc Township Police Department posted the most heartwarming story to their Facebook page, and it's a perfect candidate for The Good News.

A 5-year-old boy named Dan, who is on the Autism spectrum, had a fantastic day on Tuesday. In case you weren't aware, haircuts can be a traumatic sensory experience for ASD kids. Luckily, Dan's mom said that he did a GREAT job and would get a reward for his good behavior - she asked him what he wanted, and he said that he wanted to see a train...or a policeman.

So she took him to the GB Township police department where Officer Nelson showed him the inside of a squad car, and even let him test out the lights and sirens.

You're a real trooper, Officer Nelson. *no pun intended*
