You won't find too many 8-year-olds (or even adults) who would do something like this!

Addisyn Goss, from Linden, recently reconnected with her grandfather, only to find out that he's been homeless for 6 of the last 10 years. That's a lot for a child to process. Instead of just feeling sorry for him, she decided to act: she's putting together Snuggle Sacks - shelter kits for the homeless - because she says that everybody "deserves love and snuggles."

Some of the items currently needed, according to their Facebook page: a pair of socks, set of gloves, chapstick, applesauce, toothbrush / toothpaste, hand and foot warmers, raisins, crackers (or any combination of protein type snacks), basic travel size toiletry items, including shampoo, conditioner and deodorant.

Once the sacks are completed, they will be distributed to local homeless shelters and soup kitchens.

Way to go, Addisyn! We could learn a lot from your empathy and compassion!
