Flint City Church Bus Crashes Before Sunday Service

Sunday is supposed to be the day of rest. Many Mid-Michiganders attend church worship services, and congregate with their community. But this Sunday morning became a tragedy for another Genesee County church.

Flint Church Heartbroken After Bus Crashes On The Way to Sunday Morning Service

This morning, Flint City Church is asking for prayers from the community after their church bus was hit on the way to service this morning. The accident was so bad, the bus landed on its side.

According to the Flint City Church's Facebook page, many people and religious organizations have shared their thoughts and prayers following the tragic accident.

In September of 2025, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on McCandlish Road in Grand Blanc Township found itself under attack by a shooter who also set their building on fire after crashing into it with his truck. That attack injured 8 and killed 5 people, and prompted local religious organizations to ramp up their security efforts.

One month earlier, in August of 2025, St. Mark Baptist Church in Flint was attacked with what officials are calling a fire bomb. After threats were made on Facebook just days before, surveillance cameras caught a man with gas cans approaching the church. Shortly after that the building was ablaze.

Cause of Church Bus Crash Under Investigation, No Details Yet Released

In this case, there are no details of an intentional attack on the bus or details on injuries. But we are certainly hoping that everyone will be okay after a tragic bus ride to church.
