There's good news out of Lansing for some Flint residents, as the Genesee County Health Department is teaming up with the Genesee County Community Action Resource Department (GCCARD) to replace water heaters in eligible homes.

Flint households with minor children or seniors who are age 60 or above and who meet certain eligibility requirements will be eligible for the program according to the Michigan Department of Human Services.

According to WXYZ, "households must have an income of up to 200 percent of the federal poverty level and have at least one child under age 18."

Flint residents who are interested in finding out if they meet the eligibility requirements are urged to call GCCARD at 810) 787-0199.
