Talk about starting the new year off right! There's about to be a new place to dine in Flint Township.

The Tangy Crab - Cajun Seafood Bar is scheduled to open their doors in Flint Township next month. The new eatery will be located on Corunna Rd. just off 75 near Kroger.

Specializing in seafood, The Tangy Crab will offer a menu that includes fish, po’boy sandwiches, shrimp and of course crab boils. The seafood boils, according to Mlive, will be served in an oven bag options of lobster tails, snow crab legs, king crab legs, mussels, shrimp and scallops all topped with the restaurant’s special blend of spices and seasonings.

Owner Cindy Wang and her family are ready to bring something special and unique to the area with the new restaurant. She notes that the seafood will be fresh and will also be served whole, meaning diners will have some "work" to do.

“The seafood place is one of those places where you come with your family and then you get down and dirty with your food,  and we’ll give you gloves, but it’s kind of like you work for your seafood,” Wang told Mlive.

The new Flint Township location won't be the first Tangy Crab in the state. The family also has a new location located in Lansing.

The new Flint Township location will be open 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Wang mentions that once dining restrictions are lifted the restaurant will offer indoor dining and hopefully look to hire additional staff, but that remains uncertain at this time.
