After a rash of thefts at local substations (20 in the past 30 days), Consumers has doubled the reward to pay $10,000 for the arrest and conviction of anyone stealing copper wire from one of its substations.There have been a number of power outages this week in Genesee County while crews repaired substations where the thefts have occurred.
