Michigan State Police Looking for New Troopers
Michigan State Police are on the lookout for new troopers. If you want to become a state trooper there are a few requirements, but the starting pay is $44,000 per year.
They are looking for men or women who are citizens of the United States, have a valid drivers license, and no felony convictions. It is also recommended that applicants have a high school diploma or GED, but that is not required. Applicants must be at least 18 years old though.
The other qualifications Michigan State Police look for are people with a pattern of fiscal responsibility, good moral character, a good driving record is kind of a given I would think. They must also be able to pass a hearing and a physical test.
If you are recruited as a new trooper your starting pay will be approximately $1,700 every other week, or $44,000 per year. If you can stick with it for 20 years, the pay increases to $66,000 per year.
If you are interested, you can apply to take the entry level law enforcement exam here.
