Amanda Clayton, the Lincoln Park woman who was heavily criticized earlier this year for collecting food stamps after winning $1 million from the Michigan Lottery, has been found dead.

Authorities suspect the 25-year-old woman died of a drug overdose. An acquaintance, told WXYZ she she had a difficult time dealing with the fame and problems associated with winning a large sum of money.

"So many people tried to take advantage of her, act like they are her friends just to get some money from her.  It gets to the point where you start questioning yourself.  Are they really my friends or are they using me?” he said.  “What’s the point of having money if you’re not going to have happiness?”
