For the Second Time, Is Grand Blanc Really Getting 3 New Roundabouts?
It's not often Genesee County residents get excited about new roundabouts, but it happened again today.
One of the Grand Blanc Neighborhood Facebook Groups has been (mostly) hoping what someone posted is true. Even after it was proven wrong before.

So, Is Grand Blanc getting more roundabouts?
The alleged, possible intersections for two roundabouts are part of the massive "point" area in Grand Blanc. Hill Road at the intersections of Dort Highway and Saginaw Road.
In the comments thread of this neighborhood Facebook group, people mentioned the possibility of a roundabout being installed at Fenton & Hill Roads, a known, terrible intersection. A few people even begged for it to happen.
Seems like overall acceptance of roundabouts is making progress in Genesee County. They are safer or road commissions wouldn't install them all over the country.
So, any truth to the second round of speculation?
Genesee County Road Commission weighs in.
We reached out to GCRC back in July to check on the legitimacy of these claims. Kylie Dontje, Genesee County Road Commission's Communications Coordinator, told me:
We don’t have anything planned for Hill & Fenton or Hill & Saginaw. Dort Hwy (M-54) is MDOT’s [Michigan Department of Transportation].
So, for those that were stressed about the possibility of more construction or driving through another roundabout, you're in luck.
In case you need to remind someone, here's a video from MDOT on how to drive through a roundabout.
