Proving those little die-cast toys we loved as kids have some serious longevity, the Hot Wheels Legends Tour is rolling across the world and will be pulling into Michigan this summer once again.

The tour is back bigger and better than ever with an all-new search for a custom vehicle worthy of being immortalized as an actual 1:64-scale Hot Wheels die-cast toy. The Hot Wheels design team will travel across the country, joined by celebrity judges and special guests at every stop, and select the finalists from a fresh crop of amazing builds according to the website.

Last year's Hot Wheels Legends Tour was a global event, with stops in 16 countries on five continents including Detroit. The tour then had the grand finale on a live broadcast and featured Jay Leno. Chris Watson from New Zealand was named the winner for his 1990 Mazda MX-5 Roadster, nicknamed “Chimera.” Now the famous tour is hitting the road again in search of its next champion.
