Here Are The MI Lawmakers Who Will Forfeit Their Salaries During The Shutdown
Before anybody spews their partisan venom, they are from BOTH sides of the aisle.
FINALLY! Something we can agree on!
In the midst of the more-than-two-weeks-long partial government shutdown, there are actually local lawmakers who are denying their paychecks until everything is sorted out.
In Michigan, those lawmakers are Rep. Paul Mitchell (R) and Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D).
I know that this shutdown has really split the country; I have a cousin who is an air traffic controller in Minneapolis and he's working a ton of furlough days right now (aka not guaranteed pay). Really hoping that this ends soon for EVERYBODY.
