Take a breath before you comment. This isn't propaganda or fear-mongering; this is about people doing nice things for each other.

There are a couple of movie theaters in Traverse City that are doing something nice for the federal workers who are affected by the more than two-week-long government shutdown.

At the State Theatre and Bijou by the Bay right now, federal employees can catch a free flick with their families throughout the duration of the shutdown. All they have to do is show a valid ID.

Awesome, considering that taking a family to the movies nowadays can cost upwards of $50. Get out there and get your free movies, federal employees!
