Michigan Hospital Waives Co-Pays, ER Fees for Govt. Employees – The Good News
And it's retroactive all the way back to the start of the government shutdown.
Beaumont Health announced yesterday that they will be waiving fees for urgent care and emergency room visits for federal employees who are affected by the shutdown.
The kind gesture will be retroactive back to December 22nd, when the shutdown began. According to Beaumont Health, this will affect about 5,000 employees who aren't being paid right now.
It's also extended to all insured family members of federal employees.
Once again, another random act of kindness from a big company, no less. It's nice to see people helping people during this time. Kudos, Beaumont.
