The Grand Blanc Area Will Be Getting Fourth Taco Bell Off US-23
Three things are noticeable when you stop near Grand Blanc off US-23 and Grand Blanc Roads.
1. The massive dump.
2. The truck stop gas station & McDonald's
3. The restaurant that was originally built as a KFC (and Long John Silver?) across from McDonald's in the mid-2000s, but later became an Angelo's Coney Island until 2022.
Now, it'll be something new you'll see below. Here's what the property has looked like over the years.
What's going in the former Angelo's Coney Island off US-23 & Grand Blanc Rd?
The Angelo's surprised many when it closed toward the end of 2022. This time, it isn't sitting vacant nearly as long as it did between the original KFC restaurant and the opening of Angelo's (circa 2011-2013).
It looks like Taco Bell is planning to hire and move in, quickly.
The building looks to be structurally sound from the outside. Although, landscaping and indoor maintenance inside will take some effort, Taco Bell could probably have this opened up before the end of the year (IMO).
The drive-thru area will probably need some landscaping love to meet the Taco Bell standard (considering the well-maintained appearance of the surrounding locations on Hill Road and Holly Road).
There are a few keyboard warriors whining about another Taco Bell opening in the area. (Assuming the haters haven't had the joy of late-night Fiesta Potatoes and Mexican Pizza with Baja Blast). Isn't it best to have a business operating there instead of a blighted empty building?
