A block party in Flint ended in gunfire late Saturday night, leaving four women injured and prompting an active investigation by Flint police.

Four Women Hurt During Late-Night Block Party Shooting in Flint

According to ABC 12, Flint police officers were dispatched around 11:27 p.m. after receiving multiple reports of shots fired at a neighborhood block party. When officers arrived, they found that four women had been struck by gunfire.

Investigators say multiple shots were fired by unidentified individuals inside unidentified vehicles near the gathering. At this point, police have not released any information about possible suspects, vehicles involved, or what may have led up to the shooting.

Flint Police Searching For Suspects

Three of the victims were transported to local hospitals, where they are listed in good condition. A fourth woman was also taken to a local hospital and remains in serious condition.

Police say the investigation is still in its early stages, and detectives are working to determine exactly what happened. Officers are asking anyone who attended the block party or anyone who may have witnessed the shooting to come forward.

Flint Detectives Need Witnesses And Video Footage

Investigators are especially interested in obtaining video from cell phones, home doorbell cameras, security systems, or nearby surveillance cameras that may have captured the vehicles involved or the moments leading up to the shooting.
