Gunfire Erupts at Mid-Michigan Party, Nearby Homes Hit in Crossfire
When you are hanging out with your friends or family, the last thing you want to hear is a gunshot. But that is exactly what happened early Sunday morning in Bay City.
Gunfire Breaks Out at Bay City House Party
Police say officers were already on patrol when they heard gunfire just after 12:30 a.m. on 21st Street on the east side of Bay City. When they got to the scene, they found a chaotic situation. ABC 12 reports that a party was happening at a home, and multiple shots had already been fired.

Investigators say it appears someone in an unknown vehicle drove by and opened fire on the house. In response, people at the party fired back. But in the middle of all of that, other nearby homes and vehicles were hit by gunfire. Think about that for a second. People just living nearby, not involved, suddenly finding their homes and cars caught in the crossfire.

The good news here is that no one was hurt. But police did recover multiple shell casings. Clearly, this could have ended much worse.
Police Arrest Saginaw Man in Shooting Investigation
A 22-year-old man from Saginaw has now been arrested in connection with the shooting, and the investigation involved multiple local and state agencies working together.
