If you thought medical marijuana was something new, check this out! Elvy Musikka of Eugene, Oregon is 72 and suffers from glaucoma. She is also one of four people in the United States who gets her medical marijuana free from the federal government.

For three decades the government has been providing patients with some of the highest grade marijuana as part of a 1976 court settlement that created the country's first legal pot smoker. The program once had 14 people in it, now there are only four.

Elvy claims that her experience with pot is proof that it works as a medicine. They "won't acknowledge the fact that I do not have even one aspirin in this house. I have no pain". They stopped accepting patients in 1992., but the program still runs today for the selected four.
