State Official Rejects Medical Marijuana for Children with Autism

The head of the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, Mike Zimmer, says that there's a lack of scientific evidence. Supporters say that the extract from marijuana, when swallowed, has been shown to help curb extreme behaviors in children with autism. Zimmer says it's a matter or whether or not it's considered "legal" under the medical marijuana laws.

Hmmmm....I'm going to go out on a limb and here speculate that it's because the pharmaceutical companies aren't going to make money off it. Coincidence?
