Flushing City Council Approves Medical Marijuana Ordinances

Last night, Flushing city council members approved the first reading of a couple of medical marijuana ordinates. According to The Flint Journal, there was no discussion for the approval.

Last week if you remember, I mentioned this story when commissioners had approved the ordinances and how it was going on to city council for a vote.

Basically it was for caregivers and the rules they had to abide by in order to have a facility set up in the city.  One of the restrictions says they have to be set up 500 feet from schools, parks and even churches, according to The Flint Journal.

The ordinances haven't been put into law yet and they'll review another one in 30 days, check back to see how the ordinances are put into effect.
