It's an unconventional way to cut unemployment, but that's exactly the reason Ritch Workman is citing for his proposed repeal of a law that bans "Dwarf Tossing" in Florida. Seriously.

The ban, which went into effect about 22 years ago, bans bars and nightclubs from allowing little people to be tossed around for "entertainment purposes." Workman, a republican state legislator tells the Florida Current, "All we really did by passing that law was take away some employment from some little people." Wow.

As appalling as it may seem, The Huffington Post reports that "Florida Gov. Rick Scott appears to support his fellow Republican's wishes."

Desperation has set in, when this is how lawmakers propose to stimulate the economy.
