This morning we had our monthly visit with Flint Mayor Dayne Walling and we asked him to talk about the continued positive changes happening in the city. Walling said he was proud of the partnerships coming together which is creating a positive momentum:

"I'm really proud of the partnerships coming together. I think everyone in the city has seen extra patrolling from the Michigan State Police. The U.S. Attorney's office has reported out their first few cases they have prosecuted under their zero tolerance for gun policy. Every one of these partnerships and initiatives are creating a positive momentum around public safety."

Walling went on to say that even though crime continues to be a tough challenge everyone is pulling together to make some good progress.
