Do Kids Today Have Too Much Homework?

This guy from New York decided to do his 13 year old daughter's homework for an entire week, and he thinks that kids today have too much of it.

Granted, his daughter attends a selective public school (a school that you have to test into), but still. I'm on board with the idea that kids have too much homework nowadays. Pat is of the mindset that we're falling behind other countries, and more homework is better. It's a long read, but it's interesting to hear about an adult's take on an 8th grader's homework.
