Detroit’s High Tech Homeless Man: Visa & MasterCard Accepted [VIDEO]

Abe Hagenston has an app for that. The high tech homeless man known as Honest Abe recognizes that cash in no longer king, and accepts payments via credit card using a Square card reader on his smart phone.

Hagenston, who can usually be found near Woodward and 8 Mile in Detroit, also has a website.

“Being homeless is my business now,” Hagenston tells WDIV. “My business is being homeless.”

Through his website, Honest Abe accepts donations for a collection of homeless people, solicits odd jobs, and encourages the public to report fake panhandlers.
